I have been buying Invisasox for many years. I received my latest order of 15 pair a couple of weeks ago. I also had a few unopened pair from the last order. I questioned whether this new batch was genuine even though I ordered directly from them. This batch does not have the Invisasox logo on the toe, the material is much thinner, and the gel mesh on the Achilles is not as pronounced as all of the others that I have had over the years, probably close to 100 pairs. After washing, while a bit softer, they still feel thin and substandard to all of the previous. I get cost cutting, especially on a product that lasts as long as these socks (maybe used to) last, but at least be upfront and don’t show the old product on the website and disclose the changes. Had I seen that, I still would have bought them. Unfortunately I bought them without prior knowledge and now feel like I bought a different product. We will see how long they last compared to the old. I keep 30 pair in a rotation, 15 from two different orders. I started with the first 15 and then wore them until the elastic was still functional but not like new and then added 15 new pair to make 30 (my wife and I both wear them daily). When the first 15 lost all elastic, lost tackiness, and just wouldn’t stay on, I replaced them with 15 new pair. I have kept this pattern for a few years. I will easily know if these are the same by how fast they catch up to the other batch which is at half life. The pattern has been very consistent. My hope is that this was an improvement and they will last even longer, but my feeling is that I will be replacing all 30 pair at the same time as these will catch up to the worn ones. I will also note that I had to cut stray thread off of every pair in this batch, something that I cannot ever recall having to do with previous orders.
Don’t get me wrong, I will continue to buy them because there are no other socks like these. I just wished that I was not surprised by a deviation in appearance, material, and consistency in craftsmanship.
